History:
The Audi Sport Quattro S1 (E2) was the final evolution of Audi’s rally programme during the ferocious Group B era. Unleashed in 1985, it packed an immensely powerful turbocharged engine, a widened track, and an exaggerated aero package to handle the extreme performance demands of competition. At the 1986 Monte Carlo Rally, it represented both a technical milestone and the closing act of a golden age. Driven by rally giants like Walter Röhrl, the car left a lasting impression with its thunderous soundtrack and blistering speed. Though Group B would soon be banned, the S1 (E2)’s legacy as a motorsport legend lives on.
