Historical Background:

The Bergepanzer 38(t), or Bergehetzer, was a recovery vehicle developed from the chassis of the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer. Intended to support armoured formations by recovering damaged vehicles under fire, the Bergehetzer featured an open-top superstructure, winch, and crane. While there is no direct evidence that a FlaK-armed variant existed, it is plausible that late in the war, field workshops may have improvised such configurations. The mounting of a 2cm FlaK gun on the Bergehetzer platform provided both anti-aircraft capability and limited defence against infantry and light vehicles. This speculative build adds an imaginative yet credible twist to late-war German armour history.
