History:
Austrian hussars were among the most flamboyant and active light cavalry units of the Napoleonic Wars, serving from 1805 through to the end of the conflict in 1815. Known for their colourful uniforms featuring dolmans and pelisses covered in intricate braiding, along with shakos or mirliton caps, hussars were deployed for reconnaissance, raiding, and harassing enemy formations.
