History:
The Chasseurs Cheval were the most numerous and versatile light cavalry regiments in Napoleons army, serving in nearly every major campaign from 1808 to 1815. Clad in green uniforms with elegant braided jackets and plumed shakos, these troops were often the Emperor’s eyes and earsskirmishing ahead of the main force, scouting terrain, and screening infantry movements. Though lightly equipped compared to cuirassiers or dragoons, their speed, discipline, and aggressive tactics made them a potent battlefield presence. Chasseurs Cheval also played ceremonial roles as part of the Imperial Guard. This set reflects their operational peak, offering collectors and wargamers a glimpse into the elite light cavalry arm of the Grande Arme.
