History:
The Goths were a confederation of Germanic peoples who played a key role in the decline of the Western Roman Empire. Divided into groups such as the Visigoths and Ostrogoths, they migrated across Europe during the 3rd to 5th centuries CE, clashing with Roman legions and settling in former imperial territories. Famously, the Visigoths under Alaric I sacked Rome in 410 CE a symbolic blow to Roman dominance. These warriors fought with a mix of traditional tribal weapons and looted Roman gear, often forming large and disciplined warbands. Wargames Atlantics kit captures this transitional period with attention to historical detail and dynamic modelling options, ideal for bringing the twilight of Rome to your tabletop.
