History:
Italian infantry played a major role in multiple theatres of World War II, fighting in North Africa, the Balkans, and the Eastern Front alongside Axis forces. Though often under-equipped compared to other major powers, Italian troops showed resilience in difficult conditions and were involved in key engagements such as the Siege of Tobruk and the Italian Campaign. Their uniforms and weapons varied by region and supply, with Carcano rifles and Beretta SMGs being among the most common. After Italys 1943 armistice, many soldiers continued to fight on both sides of the conflict. Wargames Atlantics Italian Infantry kit captures this complexity and history, offering hobbyists the chance to field a detailed and authentic force from one of WWIIs pivotal participants.
