History:
The Panzer Lehr Division was created in 1943 from elite training and demonstration units, giving it a unique composition of experienced officers, instructors, and handpicked troops. It was one of the best-equipped German divisions of the war, featuring a high proportion of armoured vehicles and mechanised transport. The division played a key role during the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944 and later during the Ardennes Offensive. Despite its elite status, it suffered heavy losses in intense fighting against Allied forces. Known for discipline, tactical skill, and modern equipment, the Panzer Lehr Division remains a notable example of late-war German military capability. Wargames Atlantics kit brings this historical force to life for modellers and wargamers alike.
