History:
Following the disasters of 1806, the Prussian army underwent sweeping reforms and re-emerged as a vital force during the War of Liberation and the final campaigns against Napoleon. Between 1813 and 1815, Prussian infantry regiments were equipped with simplified uniforms including dark blue coats, grey trousers, and black leather equipment. They adopted more modern tactics and organisational structures, working closely with allied forces in coalition armies. Prussian troops played a decisive role at Leipzig in 1813 and again at Waterloo in 1815, where their timely arrival helped turn the tide against Napoleon. This set captures the look and discipline of the reformed Prussian infantry during the climactic final years of the Napoleonic Wars.
