History:
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was Germany’s primary fighter throughout World War II, serving on all fronts from 1939 to 1945. The G-14 variant, introduced in mid-1944, standardised many of the upgrades found on earlier Bf 109G subtypes, including a more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, MW 50 water-methanol injection for increased performance, and improved canopy and tail designs. Despite being introduced late in the war, the Bf 109G-14 was produced in large numbers and saw action in defence of the Reich against Allied bombing raids. Although outclassed by newer Allied fighters, the Bf 109G-14 remained a formidable opponent in skilled hands and continued the legacy of one of the most iconic fighters of the Second World War.
