History:
The Cutty Sark, launched in 1869 at Dumbarton, Scotland, was one of the last great tea clippers built during the golden age of sail. Designed to carry tea from China to Britain, she later shifted to the wool trade with Australia. Famous for her speed, she once covered over 360 nautical miles in a single day. Preserved today in Greenwich, London, the Cutty Sark remains a celebrated maritime landmark and a symbol of Britain’s shipbuilding heritage.
