History
Developed by Hanwha Defense, the K21 Infantry Fighting Vehicle entered service with the Republic of Korea Army in 2009 as a successor to the K200 APC. Designed to carry infantry troops into combat, the K21 is armed with a 40mm automatic cannon, 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and anti-tank guided missile launchers, providing both offensive and defensive capabilities. The vehicle’s composite armour ensures protection against small arms fire and artillery fragments, while its amphibious design allows river and lake crossings without additional preparation. With advanced fire control systems and enhanced mobility, the K21 reflects South Korea’s emphasis on modernising its ground forces to meet evolving battlefield requirements. It remains a cornerstone of the nation’s armoured infantry operations.
Note: This model kit requires assembly and painting. Glue, paints and tools are not included and must be purchased separately.
