The M36 Jackson, also known as the 90mm Gun Motor Carriage M36, was developed to counter increasingly heavy German armour in World War II. With its powerful gun, it was capable of destroying tanks such as the Panther and Tiger at long range. The M36B2 was an upgraded variant built on converted M4A2 Sherman hulls. Both versions played a critical role during the Ardennes Offensive, where US tank destroyer units held key defensive positions against German advances. Academy’s 1/35 kit captures this important vehicle in the closing stages of WWII.
