History
Constructed around 1250 by the House of Lords Sabiona, Burg Branzoll served as the residence of the local judge between 1465 and 1671. A devastating fire in 1671 left the castle in ruins for over two centuries. In 1895, it was purchased and restored by Dr. Otto Piper, a noted castle historian. Today, it remains privately owned and inhabited, though it is not open to the public. Its preserved exterior continues to be a striking landmark in the region, reflecting centuries of architectural and local history.
