ATOM-20912 ATOM Luftwaffe Desert Colours Set
This four-colour acrylic paint set is designed for accurately replicating the camouflage schemes used by the Luftwaffe during the desert campaigns of the Second World War. Suitable for a wide range of aircraft including the iconic Bf 109F of Hans-Joachim Marseille, as well as the Fw 190, He 111, and Hs 129 this set eliminates the need for custom mixing and saves valuable modelling time.
Each shade has been subtly lightened to account for the ‘scale effect’, ensuring the final result looks realistic and appropriately faded on your models. The colours reflect the tones applied to Luftwaffe aircraft operating in North Africa and the Mediterranean between 1941 and 1943.
ATOM paints use a water-based formula that behaves like lacquer. They offer excellent self-levelling properties, fast drying, and superb coverage. Once cured, the finish is highly durable and compatible with acrylics, enamels, lacquers, and decal solutions.
The paints are packaged in clear 20ml bottles with an ergonomic dropper-style cap that allows for one-handed use. Non-toxic and odourless, they can be used straight from the bottle or thinned with ATOM-20500 Cleaner & Thinner or ATOM-20501 Cleaner & Thinner with Retarder (30% recommended).
