History:
The M3 and M3A1 Halftracks were staples of the U.S. military during the Second World War. Designed to carry troops while providing protection and mobility across varied terrain, the M3 featured an open top and armoured hull with capacity for up to 12 soldiers. The M3A1 introduced upgrades such as a ring mount for the .50 calibre machine gun and other field-improved features. Used extensively in North Africa, Europe, and the Pacific, these vehicles also saw post-war service with numerous allied nations. Their reliability, adaptability, and rugged design made them symbols of American mechanised infantry throughout the conflict.
