History:
The Nissan Skyline C110, popularly known as the “Ken & Mary” Skyline after its advertising campaign, debuted in 1972 and quickly became a cultural icon in Japan. The GT-R version, powered by the S20 inline-six engine, carried forward the performance legacy of the Hakosuka but was produced in extremely limited numbers due to stricter emissions regulations. Despite this, the Ken & Mary GT-R became one of the most celebrated Skylines of all time. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Japan’s Grand Champion racing series and kaido racer culture transformed cars like the Ken & Mary Skyline into heavily modified street machines, featuring wide-body kits, large spoilers, and bold liveries. These customised cars became symbols of youthful rebellion and creativity, influencing Japanese tuning culture for decades. The More Grand Champion Ken & Mary GT-R model captures this era, celebrating one of Nissan’s most legendary cars in its flamboyant custom form.
