History:
The Nissan Skyline C110, popularly known as the “Ken & Mary” Skyline due to its famous advertising campaign, became one of the most iconic cars of the 1970s in Japan. While the factory GT-R version was produced in limited numbers, the KenMary Skyline became a favourite platform for modification in the emerging kaido racer and Works culture scenes. These movements saw cars fitted with extreme wide-body kits, large spoilers, and racing-inspired details, transforming everyday saloons into dramatic, individualistic machines. The “Hawk of Works” style represented one of the most flamboyant interpretations of this trend, embodying a mix of motorsport inspiration and street creativity. Today, KenMary Works-style Skylines are celebrated as cultural icons, representing a defining era of Japanese custom car history and the passion of enthusiasts who helped shape tuning culture.
