History:
The Nissan Laurel, introduced in the late 1960s, was originally designed as a luxury-oriented saloon that bridged the gap between the Skyline and the Cedric. By the early 1970s, the C130 generation, often called the ‘Butaketsu’ Laurel for its distinctive rear styling, became a favourite platform for modification in Japan. Decades later, Liberty Walk, led by Kato Wataru, transformed the Laurel into a symbol of Japanese car culture with their ‘Works’ style. Featuring exaggerated overfenders, lowered suspension, and racing-inspired aero parts, the LB Performance Laurel pays homage to Japan’s underground Kaido Racer and Bosozoku movements while blending it with modern tuning artistry. Today, the 130 Laurel Works LB Performance stands as an icon of Japanese customisation, celebrated at car shows worldwide and admired for its daring style and cultural heritage.
