History:
The Mazda RX-7 FD3S, introduced in 1992, quickly became a legend in the sports car world thanks to its lightweight design, balanced chassis, and twin-turbocharged 13B rotary engine. Over its decade-long production run, the RX-7 earned a reputation for razor-sharp handling and thrilling performance, making it a favourite among enthusiasts and racers alike. In 2002, Mazda released the Spirit R as a final, limited-edition send-off, available in three variants: Type A (two-seater manual), Type B (2+2 manual), and Type C (automatic). The Type B offered a balance of performance and practicality while still featuring upgraded brakes, suspension, and interior details unique to the Spirit R. Only 1,500 Spirit R models were produced, making them highly collectible. Today, the Spirit R represents the pinnacle of Mazda’s rotary sports car legacy, admired worldwide as an icon of Japanese performance engineering.
