History:
The DR30 Skyline, introduced in 1981, marked a new era for Nissan’s performance cars. By 1984, the RS-X Turbo Intercooler became the flagship of the Skyline range, powered by the advanced FJ20ET 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four with an intercooler system for improved performance and reliability. Recognisable for its squared-off styling, distinctive front end, and powerful stance, the DR30 became a favourite among enthusiasts and racers in Japan. Its balance of sharp handling and turbocharged performance made it an influential model that helped cement the Skyline’s reputation before the introduction of the legendary R32 GT-R. Today, the DR30 RS-X stands as a cult classic, celebrated for its role in the evolution of Japanese sports cars.
