History:
The Suzuki RG250Γ, introduced in 1983, was a revolutionary motorcycle that brought race-bike technology to the streets. Powered by a liquid-cooled 247cc parallel twin two-stroke engine producing around 45 horsepower, it delivered blistering performance in a lightweight package. The RG250Γ was the first mass-produced motorcycle to feature an aluminium box-section frame, a design directly inspired by Suzuki’s Grand Prix racing machines. Combined with advanced suspension and disc brakes, it provided handling and agility that set new benchmarks for the class. The 1984 GJ21A version further refined the model, cementing its reputation as the closest thing to a road-legal GP racer of its time. The RG250Γ influenced a generation of sport bikes and remains a beloved icon among collectors and two-stroke enthusiasts today.
