History:
The FM‑2 Wildcat was a lighter and more maneuverable variant of the F4F, built by General Motors for US Navy escort carriers during WWII. Introduced in 1943, it saw action in the Pacific Theatre, gaining a reputation for rugged survivability and effective combat performance. This Expert set includes accurate folding wings and detailed rigging to reflect its naval heritage.
