History:
Under the RAF Soviet aid programme Hurricanes were supplied to Soviet Union 1941‑1943. Mk IIA and IIB saw extensive action in defence of Moscow and the Crimea while some later Mk IIC cannon versions served in ground attack roles on the Eastern Front. These rugged fighters helped offset early losses and are remembered in Russian aviation history.
