History:
The Hawker Hurricane Mk I was the workhorse of the RAF during the Battle of Britain in 1940, accounting for more enemy kills than any other fighter. Designed by Sydney Camm and powered by the Merlin engine, the Hurricane was sturdy, reliable, and easier to repair than contemporaries. Though overshadowed by the Spitfire, it played a decisive role in halting the Luftwaffe and remains one of the most important fighters of WWII.
