History:
The Bell P‑39Q Airacobra was the final and most widely produced variant of the Airacobra series, known for its mid-fuselage engine and powerful nose-mounted 37 mm cannon. While not suited for high-altitude combat, it proved effective in low-level roles. Extensively used by the Soviet Air Force under Lend-Lease, the P‑39Q achieved great success on the Eastern Front, notably in the hands of Soviet aces. It also served with the USAAF and other Allied forces, earning a place as a distinctive and influential fighter of World War II.
