History:
The Bell P‑400 Airacobra was an export version of the P‑39 featuring a 20 mm nose cannon for foreign buyers. It was evaluated by the RAF US Navy and USAAF but few entered front line service due to performance limitations mounting up to 20 mm armament made it a potent ground attacker. Most saw limited use but the P‑400 remains a unique variant of the Airacobra line.
