History:
The Japanese 28cm Howitzer gained fame during the Russo-Japanese War, particularly at the Siege of Port Arthur in 1904–1905. Originally manufactured in Germany and later adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army, this massive artillery piece had a devastating effect on Russian fortifications and naval forces. With a maximum range of around 8,000 metres and the ability to fire 217kg shells, it exemplified the shift to modern siege tactics and heavy artillery dominance. This model captures a defining moment in Japanese military history and early 20th-century warfare.
