History:
The Panzer IV Ausf. G was a pivotal upgrade in Germany’s tank development during WWII, first entering service in 1942. Its longer-barrelled gun and improved armour gave it an edge against Soviet T-34s and other Allied armour. The mid to late production Ausf. G models introduced numerous refinements such as thicker front armour and hull Schürzen to counter anti-tank rifles. Serving across all fronts, the Ausf. G marked a critical phase in Panzer evolution and played a key role in German armoured warfare until the end of the war.
