This 1/72 scale die-cast model from Corgi depicts the North American P-51D Mustang flown by USAAF ace Captain Jack M. Ilfrey. Bearing the famous “Happy Jack’s Go Buggy” nose art, Mustang 44-13761 (code MC-I) flew with the 79th Fighter Squadron, 20th Fighter Group out of Kings Cliffe, England in 1944. Ilfrey’s bold flying and colourful personality made him one of the standout figures in the Eighth Air Force.
