History:
Introduced in 1914, the Bristol Scout Type C served primarily with the Royal Naval Air Service and the Royal Flying Corps. Initially used as an unarmed reconnaissance aircraft, it was soon adapted for fighter duties with the addition of forward-firing armament. Its compact size and responsive controls made it a favourite among skilled pilots. Although later replaced by more heavily armed fighters, the Bristol Scout made a significant contribution to early aerial warfare, helping to shape the tactics and designs of future combat aircraft.
