History
During the early 20th century, klaxon horns were widely used on both civilian and military vehicles as a means of signalling to pedestrians and other traffic. On the Garford-Putilov armoured car, the klaxon served an important role in both battlefield and logistical environments, allowing crews to warn nearby troops or clear the way during movements. Its distinctive, mechanical “ah-oo-gah” sound became a familiar noise in motorised warfare of the period. Including a klaxon on a scale model not only improves visual authenticity but also reflects a small yet significant element of armoured vehicle operation in World War I.
