History
The Garford-Putilov armoured car, heavily armoured and weighing over 11 tonnes, required towing equipment for recovery and battlefield mobility support. Towing ropes were essential for extracting vehicles from mud, snow, or mechanical breakdowns, and were also used in convoy operations to assist less mobile units. Typically made from thick, durable fibres or steel cable, these ropes were stored externally for quick access.
