History:
The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is one of the most enduring and beloved bush planes in aviation history. First flown in 1947, it was designed to serve remote areas where rugged performance and short take-off and landing (STOL) capabilities were essential. With its high-wing design, powerful engine, and versatility across wheels, skis, and floats, the Beaver quickly found favour among bush pilots, militaries, and surveyors worldwide. The floatplane variant became especially iconic in Canada and Alaska, where it continues to serve in commercial and recreational aviation to this day. Dora Wings’ 1/48 scale kit captures this legendary aircraft in exceptional detail, offering modellers a chance to build a faithful replica of a true aviation workhorse.
