History:
The Humber Armoured Car was developed in the early 1940s to meet the British Army’s need for a reliable reconnaissance vehicle. The Mk.IV variant, introduced in 1942, was armed with a 37mm gun and a coaxial machine gun, giving it greater firepower than earlier models. Widely deployed in North Africa, Europe, and Northwest Europe campaigns, it served with British and Commonwealth forces in both reconnaissance and convoy escort roles. Praised for its reliability and versatility, the Humber Armoured Car Mk.IV became one of the most recognisable British armoured cars of WWII and remained in service with some armies well into the post-war years.
