History
The British Army’s modern personal equipment and weapons have evolved significantly over the past few decades to meet the challenges of asymmetric warfare and expeditionary deployments. Introduced during the early 2000s and refined during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Osprey body armour system, in combination with MOLLE-compatible pouches, became standard issue. The SA80 rifle family remains the primary infantry weapon, supplemented by the L129A1 marksman rifle and the venerable GPMG for fire support roles. Troops also rely heavily on personal radios, hydration systems, ballistic helmets, and high-mobility gear adapted to operational demands. This equipment set captures that evolution, making it ideal for modern-era British military scenes and figure customisation.
