History
Between 2010 and 2016, the British Army underwent significant operational evolution, particularly due to its involvement in Afghanistan under Operation Herrick. Troops deployed in Helmand Province and other theatres faced a variety of terrain and insurgent tactics that reshaped infantry doctrine. The introduction of MTP camouflage replaced earlier DPM, while body armour systems like Osprey Mk IV became standard issue. The period also saw the integration of new weapons like the L129A1 sharpshooter rifle to extend engagement ranges. This figure set reflects the kit and bearing of British soldiers during this critical chapter of modern military history, offering an accurate and respectful representation of those who served on the front lines in complex and demanding environments.
