History:
Dragon’s Teeth were anti-tank obstacles developed before and during World War II to prevent or slow the advance of enemy armoured vehicles. These fortifications typically took the form of reinforced concrete pyramids, staggered in multiple rows and embedded into the ground. Their design was intended to trap or lift tank treads, making them vulnerable to artillery or air strikes.
Most famously used as part of the Siegfried Line (Westwall) in Germany, Dragon Teeth were also deployed in the Maginot Line and in defensive networks across Europe. The smaller versions represented in this set were commonly used along roadsides, narrow valleys, and near bridges where full-scale barriers were impractical. They often worked in tandem with minefields and barbed wire to create formidable defensive zones. This 1/35 scale kit by Gecko Models accurately replicates these historic defences, offering a versatile addition to any diorama or historical display.
