History:
During the Napoleonic Wars, the Prussian Landwehr represented a grassroots military effort to bolster Prussia’s standing army. Formed in 1813, the Landwehr drew from civilian volunteers, often outfitted with simple uniforms and limited training. Nevertheless, they played a critical role in campaigns from 1813 to 1815, particularly in battles like Katzbach, Leipzig, and Waterloo. This set by Hat Industrie captures the intensity of battlefield action with 28mm figures in realistic combat poses. Whether charging, firing, or reloading, these miniatures offer excellent versatility for wargamers and collectors seeking dynamic formations. Their sculpting reflects both the rugged appearance and determined spirit of these historic citizen-soldiers.
