History:
The Prussian Landwehr were raised as part of a national militia system introduced in 1813 during the Wars of Liberation against Napoleon. Composed largely of volunteers, they were typically outfitted with simpler uniforms than the regular army and often used older weapons. Despite these limitations, the Landwehr played a significant role in the final campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars, including the pivotal battles at Leipzig and Waterloo. Marching formations were the backbone of battlefield manoeuvres during this era, and this set captures that historical character with accurately sculpted 28mm miniatures, ideal for both collectors and wargamers alike. Hat Industrie’s attention to uniform and posture brings a level of authenticity that helps recreate the disciplined resolve of these citizen-soldiers in plastic form.
