Italeri Plastic Model Kit
Italeri M47 Patton (1/35) 6763
The M-47 Patton medium tank in 1/35 scale offers a detailed and faithful representation of one of the most widely used armoured vehicles of the Cold War era. Introduced in the early 1950s, the M-47 was developed to replace the M-46 Patton and incorporated numerous improvements, including enhanced armour, a redesigned turret, and the powerful 90mm M3 gun.
With a combat weight of around 46 tons, the tank was powered by a 12-cylinder Continental V-type air-cooled engine delivering 810 horsepower, allowing for a top speed of 45 km/h. The M-47 became a central component of U.S. armoured forces before being exported to numerous NATO countries. This kit includes a range of decal options representing the USA, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, and Greece, making it ideal for Cold War dioramas or standalone display builds.

History:
Developed at the height of post-WWII military modernisation, the M-47 Patton served as a cornerstone of armoured forces for both the United States and many NATO allies. Its combination of firepower, protection, and mobility made it a reliable front-line vehicle well into the 1980s. The M-47 saw service not only in European Cold War deployments but also in active combat zones such as the Middle East and the Indo-Pakistani wars, cementing its legacy as one of the most versatile tanks of its generation.
