History:
The Panavia Tornado GR.1 proved indispensable during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Designed for low-level penetration and strike missions, the GR.1’s rugged build, swing-wing design, and advanced avionics allowed RAF pilots to deliver pinpoint attacks on heavily defended targets. Operating from bases in the Middle East, the Tornado played a critical role in disabling enemy air defences and infrastructure, solidifying its place as one of the RAF’s most capable and combat-proven platforms. This model commemorates its Gulf War service in striking Desert Storm camouflage and markings.
