History:
The Junkers-Larsen JL.6 was an American development of the German Junkers F 13, the world’s first all-metal monoplane transport aircraft. Licensed and modified in the United States following World War I, the JL.6 saw limited service as a mailplane and experimental passenger aircraft. It featured a duralumin airframe with distinctive corrugated metal skin — an innovation that would become a hallmark of Junkers designs. Although production was short-lived, the JL.6 represented a key step in the transition from military aviation to commercial and civil flight. MiniArt’s 1/48 kit captures this historic aircraft with exceptional detail and craftsmanship.
