History:
The GTK Boxer is a multirole armoured fighting vehicle developed jointly by Germany and the Netherlands as part of a NATO initiative to create a new generation of modular armoured vehicles. Entering service in the early 2000s, the Boxer’s modular system allows it to be configured for roles such as troop transport, command, and medical evacuation. The sgSANKfz (armoured ambulance) variant is specifically equipped to provide battlefield medical support, featuring enhanced protection and a fully fitted treatment module to stabilise casualties under fire. Its advanced armour, mobility, and adaptability have made it a vital asset in modern European and international operations, ensuring the safe evacuation and treatment of soldiers in conflict zones.
