History:
The Kamov Ka-58 “Black Ghost” is a proposed stealth helicopter design that emerged in the late 1990s and early 2000s, though it never entered production. Rumoured to be a development project by the Russian design bureau Kamov, the Ka-58 was envisioned as a fifth-generation attack helicopter with stealth technology, reduced radar signature, and advanced avionics. Often depicted with angular fuselage surfaces and internal weapons carriage, the Ka-58 remains speculative, with much of its existence based on concept artwork and unverified reports. While not a real operational aircraft, it has captured the imagination of aviation enthusiasts and modellers alike as a “what if” project symbolising the potential future of combat helicopter design.
