Tamiya Plastic Model Kit
A6M5/5a Zero (Zeke) (1/48) 61103
This 1/48 scale Tamiya kit represents the Mitsubishi A6M5/5a Zero (Zeke) Model 52, the Imperial Japanese Navy’s mainstay fighter during the latter years of the Pacific War. Developed from earlier Zero variants, the Model 52 incorporated improved speed, armour protection, manoeuvrability, and fuel efficiency. Its shorter, semi-circular wings and enhanced balance made it a formidable aircraft despite the increasingly powerful Allied opposition. The A6M5 saw combat in major battles including the Mariana Islands, Iwo Jima, and Okinawa, remaining in service until the war’s end.
