Tamiya Waterline Series
Tamiya British Destroyer O Class (1/700)
This 1/700 scale plastic model kit recreates the British Royal Navy’s O Class destroyer, a vital part of Britain’s naval strategy during the Second World War. Developed under the First Emergency Flotilla programme in 1939, these ships were intended to quickly bolster the Royal Navy’s destroyer forces in response to the growing threat posed by German U-boats.
The lead ship of the class, HMS Onslow, was laid down in 1940 and commissioned in 1941. Seven more ships of this class followed by 1942. The O Class destroyers served a critical role in convoy escort, fleet screening and anti-submarine operations throughout the conflict, particularly in the harsh conditions of the North Atlantic.
- 1/700 scale plastic model assembly kit
- Accurate depiction of O Class hull and superstructure
- Includes fine details such as armament, bridge and funnel structure
- Compact waterline format ideal for display or diorama use
- Historically significant subject from WWII naval history
A great addition for naval enthusiasts looking to expand their collection of Royal Navy vessels from World War II.
