History
Introduced in 1934, the Citroën Traction 11CV was revolutionary for its time, featuring front-wheel drive, low-slung bodywork, and advanced suspension. It quickly gained a reputation for reliability, stability, and comfort. The French Army employed it extensively before and during the early stages of WWII. Following France’s occupation, the German Army also pressed the vehicle into service, valuing its performance on both European roads and in the harsh conditions of the Eastern Front. Later, Free French forces utilised the 11CV as a symbol of liberation. Its long production run until 1957 reflected its enduring popularity and engineering excellence.
