History:
The McDonnell Douglas F-4E Phantom II entered service in the late 1960s as the final major production version of the legendary Phantom. It featured a built-in M61 Vulcan cannon, advanced radar systems, and improved aerodynamics. Deployed extensively by the U.S. Air Force, the F-4E participated in the Vietnam War and later served with several allied nations. Its rugged design, speed, and multi-role capability allowed it to perform a wide variety of missions from air superiority to ground attack. Over 5,000 Phantoms were built, and the F-4E remained in frontline service for decades, cementing its reputation as one of the most iconic fighters of the 20th century.
