This 1/35 scale assembly kit recreates the AMD35, a 4-wheeled armoured car originally deployed as a reconnaissance vehicle by French cavalry units. Following the Fall of France in 1940, captured examples were pressed into service by German forces, highlighting its versatile design. Powered by a 105hp engine, the AMD35 could reach speeds of up to 72km/h, providing excellent mobility for its four-man crew.
Around 360 units were produced by 1940, serving in various European theatres. The model captures the vehicle’s distinctive features with precision, including the turret, hull detailing, and suspension layout. The kit is based on the highly regarded ICM moulds, enhanced with Tamiya’s accessories, figure, decals, instructions, and packaging.
