History
Developed in the early 1930s, the UE Armoured Carrier was designed to support infantry by transporting ammunition, equipment, and towing light guns. By the outbreak of WWII, approximately 4,800 units had been built, featuring improvements such as a 4-speed gearbox and stronger towing points. Used extensively during the 1940 Battle of France, the UE proved reliable and adaptable despite its small size. Following the French surrender, the Germans captured and repurposed many vehicles, converting some into self-propelled guns or using them for logistical duties. Its versatility and widespread use make it a notable vehicle in early WWII armoured warfare history.
